Auditor Keith Faber and Treasurer Robert Sprague on this week's News in Focus
Part 1 Auditor Keith Faber explains the process of map drawing on the redistricting commission. Auditor Faber serves as one of the commissioners on the newly formed seven-member Ohio Redistricting Commission redrawing Ohio's legislative maps. The third version of the Congressional maps will be the maps for the 2022 cycle, as the League of Women Voters has acknowledged that their lawsuit is aiming at the 2024 Election. The fourth version of the Ohio House and Senate maps that was just passed by the Redistricting Commission last week has again been challenged in a lawsuit by Eric Holder's group. The battle continues over Ohio's redistrict redraw, but the advantage has undoubtedly swung in the Republicans' favor, as the political left is running out of gas. However, the "sue till they're blue" strategy by Eric Holder and Barack Obama has been successful in one thing - creating chaos in the red states of Ohio, North Carolina, and Florida.
Part 2 Robert Sprague is Ohio's Treasurer, and he is conducting a listening tour with citizens and small business groups across Ohio, asking for their input on the impact that inflation is having on their everyday lives and businesses. Ohio farmers are preparing to plant this year's crop and are more than challenged with the accelerated cost of fertilizer, seed, and equipment. Treasurer Sprague has introduced a program "Ohio Gains" and explains how it could bring some financial relief to farmers and others to help beat back inflationary challenges. Tune in and tell a friend.

The new maps have been drawn for the third time. Will the court let them stand?
Ohio's new district maps for Congressional and Ohio Senate and Ohio House may be in jeopardy,
As we have been telling you, the group is led by Eric Holder, President Obama's former Attorney General. - The National Redistricting Action Fund is an affiliate of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee.
The question is - will the Ohio Supreme Court continue to allow an outside special interest partisan group to draw Ohio's maps and stop Ohioans from voting, as the lawsuits continue to delay the elections indefinitely. Or will they allow the constitutionally ordered Redistricting Commission to do its work without interference from outside partisan political groups? How many times does it have to be said that without unanimous agreement, they are four-year maps, not ten-year maps? Let Ohioans vote! In this program, we give you updates from the Ohio House and discuss the prospects of a possible at-large Congressional ballot.
For the third time, Ohio has new maps- Important interview with S.O.S. Frank LaRose
The Ohio Redistricting Commission has approved maps for the third time in accordance with the guidelines of the Ohio redistricting process that the Ohio voters approved in 2015. Joining host Chris Long on the program is the Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose. He explains the process that brought us to this point, as he is a member of the Redistricting Commission and the Chief Elections Officer of Ohio. The SOS discusses the deadlines that the state is now facing for military ballots (federal law) and the May 3rd Primary, with early voting starting on April 5th. If these maps hold, the Primary Election will take place on May 3rd. Tune in to this important discussion and share it with a friend. Click here to review the maps
