For the third time, Ohio has new maps- Important interview with S.O.S. Frank LaRose
The Ohio Redistricting Commission has approved maps for the third time in accordance with the guidelines of the Ohio redistricting process that the Ohio voters approved in 2015. Joining host Chris Long on the program is the Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose. He explains the process that brought us to this point, as he is a member of the Redistricting Commission and the Chief Elections Officer of Ohio. The SOS discusses the deadlines that the state is now facing for military ballots (federal law) and the May 3rd Primary, with early voting starting on April 5th. If these maps hold, the Primary Election will take place on May 3rd. Tune in to this important discussion and share it with a friend. Click here to review the maps

Redistricting maps are in limbo with the court's rejection. An election crisis is looming in Ohio
On Monday, in a 4-3 decision, the Ohio Supreme Court again rejected the Redistricting Commission's approved maps for the Ohio House and Ohio Senate. Justice Maureen O'Connor joined the Democrats on the bench who have now with their decision thrown the mid-term elections into chaos. Justices Pat DeWine, Sharon Kennedy, and Pat Fisher wrote dissenting opinions. Now, Speaker of the House Bob Cupp and Senate President Matt Huffman are in a quandary as to what to do. On this week's News in Focus, we explain what has happened up until now and where all this might be heading. It is apparent at this point that a constitutional crisis is unfolding in Ohio. Here are some of the questions that voters are asking, "What district will I be voting in? Will there be a May 3rd Primary or not? Will there be two Primaries, as Senate President Huffman suggested? " No one seems to know for sure. There are more questions than answers. If you haven't been paying attention up till now, this program will help you to understand what has happened and why. A report on this year's March for Life and the anticipation of the overturning of Roe v. Wade
National Director of Created Equal Mark Harrington reports on this year's March for Life. After last year's suspension of the actual March for Life for the first time in its history, as a virtual march ceremony took place instead due to COVID restriction, this year the march was back in force with over 100,000 participants. For the 20th year, Created Equal erected its jumbotron along the march route, broadcasting the images of the results of abortion. These graphic images caught the attention of march participants, many of whom had never seen these graphic images. They shared their thoughts after seeing the images. Mark Harrington explains why he and the team bring the visual demonstration to the March for Life. Tune in and tell a friend.

Interview with Bernie Moreno on the U.S. Southern border crisis
Bernie Moreno, a U.S. Senate candidate, discusses his recent trip to the southern border in Texas. A Cleveland businessman who immigrated from Colombia legally with his mother and siblings in the '70s, Bernie talks about the importance of legal immigration and the threat that currently exists with illegal immigration, as over 2 million illegals poured over the U.S. southern border last year alone. Bernie points out that the Biden Administration has done nothing to mitigate the problem, and actually has facilitated and enabled illegal immigration, and has bused these illegals into the interior of the United States with no warning to local authorities or community residents. We discuss the drug and human trafficking problem and the security threat that an open border invites, as government officials have no knowledge of who is entering the country and what their intentions are.
News in Focus will be interviewing a number of candidates running for federal office up until the May 3rd Primary.

Hospital Visitation Rights Legislation-Denying patients visitors is a practice that must come to an end
Chris Long discusses with Pastor Al Davis H.B. 324, legislation that will protect the rights of patients to have visitors of family, friends, and clergy at Ohio hospitals. Over the past 20 months during the pandemic, hospitals have denied patients visitation from spouses, family members, friends, and even members of the clergy. We have received many reports from family members and individuals around the state whose loved ones were isolated in their hospital rooms, even if they weren't COVID patients.
H.B. 324 addresses the concerns of both patients and their visitors, as well as addressing the concerns of the medical facility. The bill’s provisions ensure that hospitals may require visitors to sign a waiver of liability, require screenings for symptoms of disease, require PPE, and other reasonable safety precautions. But the hospital must allow the patient to receive visits from family, caretakers, and clergy.
Joining me on the program is Pastor Al Davis who shares his own story of when he was hospitalized last year. He also suffered the same fate as other patients, as the hospital would not allow his wife, daughter, or members of the clergy to visit him while he was hospitalized for five days. CALL TO ACTION; Call your State Representatives and urge them to support H.B. 324, the hospital visitation rights bill.

Redistricting Commission Failure - A constitutional crisis is looming in Ohio
The Ohio Supreme Court judged the Ohio Legislature and Congressional maps to be unconstitutional. The maps were sent back to the Redistricting Commission, a first-time concept on how Ohio redraws its map after the 10-year census. In the past, the Apportionment Board was made up of the Governor, Secretary of State, Auditor, Speaker of the Ohio House, Senate President, and the minority leaders in both chambers. After a ballot measure that passed in 2015, the district lines are now drawn by a Redistricting Commission with other guidelines. If the commission unanimously votes to approve the maps, they will be 10-year maps. If the minority members object to the maps, they are to be 4-year maps and reviewed again in four years. What has happened is that the Democrats sued and brought their complaint to the Ohio Supreme Court. Chief Justice Maureen O'Connor broke from her fellow Republicans on the bench and joined the Democrats in refusing the maps. According to legal experts, there is no recourse for the Republicans to appeal to the federal courts. If they dig in their heels, the Democrats could file suit again, sending it back to the court, creating a revolving door. Joining me on the program to discuss this all-important issue is Rob Walgate from the American Policy Roundtable. Tune in and tell a friend.

SCOTUS to hear OSHA vaccine mandate order- Discussion with the Buckeye Institute
Greg Lawson, Senior Research Fellow with The Buckeye Institute, discusses the U.S. Supreme Court review of the OSHA vaccine mandate order. The Buckeye Institute has filed a lawsuit against the Biden Administration's OSHA vaccine mandate order, representing several business interests who will be severely harmed by the mandate if it is implemented on January 11th as scheduled. The Buckeye Institute, a conservative think tank here in the state of Ohio, filed the lawsuit asking the Court for an emergency stay on the order. SCOTUS picked up another legal challenge that will be in review that will be heard on Friday. If the Court does not act quickly, the Biden Administration's vaccine mandate order will go into effect nationally. Many predict absolute economic chaos if the order goes into effect, affecting millions of workers and every business that has at least 100 employees or more. All eyes are on the Court. It is the quiet before the storm. Tune in and tell a friend.
PART 2 - Max Miller Subpoenaed by January 6th Commission
In an unprecedented overreach of power, House Democrats have subpoenaed
former Trump officials to testify before the partisan January 6th
Commission. Breaking House rules, Nancy Pelosi blocked House Republicans,
including Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan, from appointing some of their own
members to the Commission. As a result, a serious review and investigation
of what took place on Jan 6th, 2020 at the U.S. Capitol will not take place.
What is happening is that House Democrats are playing political theater,
seeking to threaten and intimidate former Trump officials and intimidate
anyone who attended the rally in support of President Trump. Many Ohioans
attended the rally and then simply went home. Still, they were contacted by
the FBI and questioned about what they were doing in Washington D.C. on Jan 6th, 2020.
One has to ask the question - do we still live in a free country? Max Miller,
a candidate for the newly formed 13th Congressional District and a former senior advisor to President Trump, has been subpoenaed by the House Democrats.
The U.S. Marshals served the papers to him at his home here in Ohio. Max Miller explains what he and other Trump officials are going through as this unprecedented overreach by House Democrats continues, as they totally ignore President Trump's executive privilege.
