Coal is on the comeback, but challenges remain for the industry in the wake of Obama's War on Coal
News in Focus Radio Interview December 5th
Guests: Mr. Bob Murray, Chairman, President, and CEO of Murray Energy, and Jim Martin, Chairman of the 60 Plus Association, a national seniors’ advocacy organization.
Today, we continue our discussion on the comeback of coal in the Trump era and what the President and his administration are doing to address America's energy needs and the reliability and security of the national electric grid.
Because of Washington politics and blocking of the Perry Plan by FERC, electric generation powered by coal is still decreasing with the closure of more coal-fired power plants. PGM, the grid operator, expresses concern about grid reliability with the acceleration of these plant closures with nothing to replace them. This is an Ohio problem, as additional coal plants on the Ohio River and two nuclear plants run by First Energy are slated to close by 2021 and 2022.

Pastor Greg Delaney Now a NO Vote on Issue 1. Candidate Forum with Frank LaRose.
Candidate forum with Frank LaRose who is running for Secretary of State.
Part 2 - Pastor Greg Delaney, who earlier this month was heard on radio ads supporting Issue 1, has now come out opposed to Issue 1. Pastor Greg made the following statement at a press conference in Columbus on October 15th:
"I am here today to urge you to do as I have done and vote "no" on State Issue One. I previously provided public support in favor of Issue 1. I had confidence that Issue One would generate much-needed funding so Ohioans could get access to treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. I wholeheartedly agree with the premise that Ohioans in need of treatment should get that support...
Yet after my support for Issue 1 became public, many long-time colleagues, other members of my faith community, friends from the mental health and recovery community began calling, writing, asking me to take a closer look at the measure.
Out of respect, I did. After much prayer and conversation, I felt compelled to publicly change my position and put voice to my opposition to State Issue One."

Cuyahoga County Human Rights Commission, enacted by County Council, will be weaponized to penalize businesses, individuals, and churches who do not comply with the LGBTQ agenda. Touted as a committee to receive complaints of discrimination, the reality is, according to those who oppose the measure, that it will be a form of tyranny to force compliance upon individuals, businesses, and churches that don't go along with the radical homosexual agenda. This week's guest is John Stover, President of Ohio Value Voters, who encouraged clergy and Cuyahoga County residents to stand up against the passage of the Commission. Now that County Council has launched the Commission, many in the community will be watching carefully as to what it's activities will be. Tune in and tell a friend.
